Exploring Victoria Falls: A Journey of Discovery

Victoria Falls, also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya (the Smoke that Thunders), is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world. Located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, this magnificent waterfall is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

The Victoria Falls is an incredible natural wonder that is truly a gift from the gods. Gazing upon this majestic waterfall will leave you in awe and wonder, even if just for a moment.

You have heard or visited the waterfalls like Niagara or Iguazu falls.

Today we would like to share insights of Victoria Falls to our traveller. It is situated in Zimbabwe Harare.

It is one of the seven wonders of world a UNESCO declared world heritage site.  At the entrance of the waterfall there is statue of Dr David Livingstone which was Scottish missionary who travelled this area in 1855 and discover the Victoria falls. He was so much impressed about the waterfall that he gave the name of Queen Victoria and it get famous as Victoria Falls.

There are lot of lounge, hotels near Victoria Falls which has five star services. The indigenous community living in that surrounding welcomes you by their traditional dance. There are jungles in nearby surrounding where you can see the elephant, lion, yaks where they roam freely.

It has been suggested by some theories that waterfalls were shaped from the land long before a volcanic eruption occurred, thousands of years ago.

The magic of this waterfall is that it falls from different heights which have high or less length. It has 16 view points from where you can watch the waterfall. It has rain forest in it for which you have to travel 4 to 5 km.

Victoria waterfall overall width is 1.7 km and per second ten thousand litres of waterfall.
