Environmentalist: Bhushan Bhoir a Nature Lover

The globe is currently experiencing natural disasters and excessive resource use, which leads to environmental degradation and decreased ecosystem effectiveness, both of which lessen the likelihood of floods and landslides.

As forest and mangroves play a vital role in protecting floods and keep the environmnet and oxygen clean.

We’ll talk about a professor of oceanography named Bhushan Bhoir today who works to promote awareness of the natural biodiversity. Bhushan, who holds a bachelor’s degree in both chemistry and zoology. He had a great love for natural regions like woods, jungles, and mangroves because he is an indigenous person who understands the need of preserving biodiversity and is familiar with the wholesome foods that can be found in the surrounding woodlands. His passion for the natural world led him to pursue a postgraduate degree in zoology.

After completing his degree he joined as professor in Sonpant Dandekar college for three years. Apart from teaching he was also involved in animal rescue for fifteen years and also worked for forest dept. Having love for nature he started doing awareness about nature and animals and how they play important role in ecosystem.

The most tough job throughout his career was to minimize human – leopard conflict. He had done camera trapping for leopards in village Saphale which comes under Palghar district. To honor the selfless service of Bhushan former District collector Abhijeet bangar selected him as a member of Palghar district biodiversity committee.

While talking deep inside of mangroves. He said mangroves consist of trees, palms, shrubs, vives and ferns that have a ability to live in waterlogged saline soil. It is typically referred as individual spices as ecological importance of mangroves have great importance in biodiversity after all they provide vast range of wood, and non-wood forest products which have a good economic value as timber, fuel wood, medicinal, honey fodder and charcoal etc. And it is also most natural product ecosystem throughout the world.

It also comprises of numerous varieties of flora and fauna which plays key role in maintaining oxygen level of atmosphere. Bhushan had made immense amount of awareness to the society for preservation of nature and if not then we have to deal with harsh disaster calamities.

The all whether men, he is also engaged with fishermen society to help them in fighting against industrial pollution caused by Boisar Tarapur (Midc). He had several articles in his mother tongue Marathi regarding better understanding of climate change to common people.

He had also conducted session on zero budget natural farming. Making community aware of green solutions by living healthy lifestyle for this he and her wife have completed training in natural architecture at lauri baker centre Trivandrum. In future he has mega plan to set up the institution where he can teach all the practical knowledge which can help many people how to lead life towards sustainable lifestyle with sustainable livelihood.
